Happy Birthday today to: Elizabeth Boyer, Sandra Goya Herrera, Zach Newland-Crabtree, Patrick Rafferty, Michael  Smith, and Connor St Clair.

Senior Project candidates must turn in their final project proposals to their faculty advisors this week.  Make sure to put the proposal into a portfolio as described in the information packet.  See your advisor if you have any questions.

Key Club is collecting money for Pennies for Patients.  Please help your participating teachers by putting whatever money you can in their collection boxes.  This fundraiser is for research to find a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma cancers and we can use your help!

Key Club general membership is today- we will be electing next year’s board of officers.  Please make sure to attend.  We will also be handing out the Anthony Thomas candy fundraiser- make sure you attend for that as well.

Renaissance Cards were mailed home last week.  If you had at least a 2.75 G.P.A. for 1st semester but had excessive absences or tardies to earn a Renaissance Card, you should have received a letter explaining how to submit your letter of appeal by February 16.  See Mr. Bobek if you still have not received your card or letter in the mail and feel you should have been included.

The season for love has arrived! All this week, Renaissance will be selling valentine carnations for $1 in the commons during all lunch periods. Each flower will be sent with a personal message from you to your special valentine.

Also, there are forms in the office for students and families who would like to participate in some capacity in the International Festival on Saturday, March 6.  If you need volunteer hours, pick up information in the main office about volunteering for the festival.

Al Ambassadors need to sign up for a shift for Parent Teacher Conferences Thursday Feb 11.  The sign up sheet is located on the bulletin board across from room 244.  It is first come, first serve on time slots.

Cultural Awareness Club will be meeting in room 212 after school on Tuesday February 9th. Please join us to learn about different African cultures. We will be sampling food, listening to music and learning a few dance steps. If you are not a member yet, you can join us for $1.00.

On February 19th from 6pm to 8pm at Davidson, there will be a table set out so you can bring in your gently used Prom dresses in to donate.

Now on to sports

Girls Tennis your meeting today after school has been cancelled.
