First Time Riders Event- Our transportation team is once again excited to announce the First Time Riders Event on Saturday, August 10th from 8am until 12noon at Weaver Middle School. Your student can learn about bus safety, ride a bus, and have fun with others. It’s a great opportunity to introduce young students to riding a bus prior to the first day of school.
Teacher Assignments – Teacher Assignments in the Home Access Center under the “registration” link after 4pm on August 14th. .
Bus Information – Bus assignments will be available through “Find my Bus Stop” on Home Access in August (TBD). It is important that families check this information MULTIPLE TIMES before school starts as changes occur often.
Kindergarten Open House – Open House for KINDERGARTEN students only and their grown-ups will be on August 15th from 4:00-5:00pm at the Britton building. During this time, students will spend time in classrooms with their teachers and classmates, while parents meet with our new principal, Mrs. Bope. We ask that siblings do not attend this event as we do not have childcare.
Grades 1-5 Meet the Teacher – Meet the Teacher Night for students in grades 1-5 at both Britton and Norwich will be held on Friday, August 16th from 4-5pm. Families with last names that start with A-M are encouraged to attend from 4:00-4:30. Families with last names that start with letters N-Z are encouraged to attend from 4:30-5:00pm. Families who can are encouraged to walk. Parking will also be available at the Gibson Dental building off of Davidson road.
First Day of School and #HCSD1 – The first day of school for the 2024/2025 is Wednesday, August 21st. Please share photos using the hashtag #HCSD1 on Twitter and Facebook.
