Drop-Off:
Buildings Open:  8:50 am
(do not drop students off prior to this as there is no supervision.)
Tardy: Must be in classroom by 9:05 am
Pick-Up:
3:30pm

Bus Riders:

• All students eligible for Hilliard City Schools Bus Transportation are encouraged to utilize it! This is the safest and most efficient form of transportation.  Our students on school buses get dropped off/picked-up in the front of their home school.

• Many of our Day Care Centers are provided District transportation. If you elect for this service, please register with Hilliard Transportation.  To do this, click HERE, or visit the District Website at hilliardschools.org, click on Departments, then Transportation Services, then Contact Transportation, and submit a request for Day Care Transportation.

• Buses will drop-off first at the Britton building and then will drop-off at the Norwich building. The Britton and Norwich buildings use the same buses.

SACC (School Age Childcare):

• For the Norwich Program, parents should use the Back Lot Door B5 to enter the SACC program at the Norwich Building.

• For the Britton Program, parents should use Front Door A5 to enter the SACC program at the Britton Building.

Carpool:

• Carpool line is in the rear of the Norwich Building and the front of the Britton Building.

• If families have students at both buildings, they may elect to drop off/pick-up at each building, or make one drop-off/pick-up at the Britton building and intermediate students will use the supervised walking path to go between buildings. Once dropped off at the Britton building, students will enter and exit the Norwich building at Door D13, off of the walking path.   If parents elect to drop-off/pick-up at each building, parents should start at the Norwich building first, at both arrival and dismissal time.  If parents elect to drop off at one building, it must be the BRITTON BUILDING.  Only the intermediate students are permitted to use the walking path between the buildings during arrival and dismissal.  If you want your 3-5 child to walk over to/from Britton, please complete this FORM.

• For the Norwich building, please enter/exit the campus service road off of Davidson Road. For the Britton Building, please enter/exit the campus service road off of Britton Parkway.

• Please be mindful of the 4-way stop in front of the Norwich building.

• Parents do not need to get out of the car to open and close doors to drop off/pick-up your child(ren). Please remain in your car at all times, and our staff will assist students.  Please be patient and do not use your cell phone in the car pool line.

• Please only allow your child to exit the car from the curb side; otherwise, they could encounter car traffic.

• Please follow the directions of staff members on duty at all times. They are there for the safety of your children.

• Cars may exit onto Britton Parkway OR Davidson Road. If exiting onto Britton Parkway, please only make a right turn from the service road and use the round-about so as to keep the traffic moving. The exit to Britton Parkway is a RIGHT TURN ONLY for safety.

Walkers/Bike riders:

• Should use the walking path to the playground and then enter their home building at 8:50 using the playground entrance doors. Norwich Walker Door is D11 and the Britton Walker Door is A5.

• At the Norwich Building, DO NOT ENTER USING CARPOOL DOORS.

• Bike riders may park their bikes in the bike rack at either building by way of the walking path. (Parents must complete a Bike Riding Permission form in the office.) Bicycles on school property must be walked at all times until off school grounds.

Miscellaneous

• Please talk with your child each day about their transportation to/from school. If your child’s transportation changes, you MUST send a note to their teacher in their home-school folder. If there is a last minute change, please call the office so we can let the teacher know.

• The walking path that exits to Huntwicke Road is designed for students that walk to/from school. Please be mindful of traffic laws and speed limits.  Do not stop to drop off/pick-up in the curb area painted yellow.  This makes it difficult for your children to cross safely.   Our recommendation would be to use the carpool line as it is most efficient.

Attention Families of Britton to Norwich Walk Over Students

At drop-off, if you arrive to Britton after 9am, you will be asked to drive your child to the car line at Norwich.  Students cannot walk over to Norwich after 9am, as it does not give them enough time to make it to their class prior to the tardy bell at 9:05AM.  If you make it to the car line at Norwich after 9:05AM, you will need to take your child to the school office through the front doors to be signed in.  If you have children that you would like to walk over to Norwich, please plan to be in the car line at BRITTON before 9:00AM.  Thank you!
