Athletes of the Month, Madison Morris and Mia Prak, had an October to remember. The two players, who shared time during the season at 3rd singles, decided to play doubles together at the Sectional Tournament. They went on to defeat a pair from Newark and then Watkins Memorial advancing them to the semifinals of the tournament and qualifying them for the District Tournament, Darby’s first Girls Tennis players to accomplish this in 18 years. A few days later they defeated Grove City to earn a 3rd place finish at Sectionals. We are excited about what the girls were able to accomplish, especially considering they had never played in a match together prior to their October run in the tournament.
Logan Behm finished his sophomore season this past week. Logan had an exceptional month and led his team to the runner spot at the OCC Cardinal Division meet. He also helped the team qualify to the regional meet for the first time since 2018. Logan earned 1st team all OCC honors with this 6th place finish and All-District honors in the Central District Section 3 race. Logan is also the #1 sophomore runner in school history and ranks in our top 10 all time. Congrats Logan on a fine cap to your cross-country season.
