Athletes of the Month
Anne Hassay has been a key component of the Hilliard Darby gymnastics program. She overcame an injury early on but was able to end the season by qualifying on one event at the State competition and becoming an alternate for three others. Anne leads by example with her strong work ethic, positive outlook, and always putting the team above herself. Congratulations on being named March’s Athlete of the Month!
Bradley is a Senior and a two-time wrestling team captain, two-time District Champion, and a two-time Academic All-State wrestler. This season Bradley Weaver amassed a perfect 32-0 record on his way to being named OCC Cardinal Division Wrestler of the Year and winning a State Championship at 285 pounds. Out of his 32 matches this season, only 3 matches were not bonus-point victories (opponent keeping the score within 8 points) and he did not give up an offensive point all season. Most impressive is that Bradley maintained a 3.65 cumulative GPA while participating in 3 sports throughout his entire High School career. In the Fall, Bradley will be attending Ohio University on a football scholarship.
