Good Afternoon Jaguar Families,
The Bradley Marching Band finished their competitive season on Saturday with a fantastic performance at the OMEA State Marching Band Finals, held here at Bradley. Their performance resulted in straight Superior ratings from all seven judges, meaning the band received straight Superior ratings the entire season for the first time since 2021.
The building will be closed next Tuesday for staff professional development. Class will resume on Wednesday, November 6th.
Finally, congratulations to all of our fall sports teams and coaches. As we begin to wrap up the fall sports seasons, we would like to thank all of our families and staff for their support of all of our students. Tonight, the football team will be on the road, participating in their first playoff game against Springfield, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Have a great weekend, and Go Jags!

Get Familiar with the Canvas Parent App
Hilliard proudly adopted Canvas as our Learning Management System (LMS) about 10 years ago before many universities (like OSU and BGSU, just to name a couple). Fast forward to 2024 and you’ve likely seen or heard that many K12 institutions, and a myriad of colleges and universities, have also adopted Canvas. We are proud of the work our district has done with our online presence for our students, teachers, and also parents/guardians. While it’s not perfect, the Canvas Parent app has come a long way with how observers can see and better understand the tasks that are assigned to their student(s) as well as feedback being provided to them from their teachers. Canvas continues to work with districts like Hilliard to constantly improve the app experience for all of its users.
Because of our partnership with Instructure (the parent company of Canvas), we have also been able to work closely with their developers of the Parent Canvas app to make it what it is today and we warmly promote the app with our parents. If you don’t have it, we recommend going to the iOS App Store (for Apple users) or Google Play Store (for Android users) to get it and sign in to begin seeing your child’s online school environment and their progress in their Canvas courses.
