Bradley eNews for October 4

Good Afternoon Staff,

It was another great week at 2800 Walker Road. As we head into fall and the final week of the first quarter, I want to emphasize the importance of staying focused on academics. Please take time to talk with your child to ensure that all assignments, assessments, projects, etc. are complete before the end of the quarter Friday, October 11th. Remember that you can look up your child’s progress using Home Access anytime, so you never have to be in the dark about your child’s academic status.

Parent-teacher conferences will be held on Wednesday, October 16th. Please click the live link for signups or go to the Hilliard Bradley homepage. To schedule a conference, please click on a teacher’s name. We ask that you sign up for only one-time slot per teacher. Directions for signup are available on the sign-up page if needed. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call the main office at 614-921-7400.

Beginning tonight, Hilliard Bradley Theater presents Eurydice. Please support our program and the outstanding students who have worked hard on this production. Eurydice runs on October 4th and 5th. The performance tonight will begin at 7 p.m., and Saturday’s shows will start at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased through Local Level. The link is on our website at www.bradleytheater.com.

Have a great weekend, and Go Jags!!!

What is the Impact of Rising Home Values & House Bill 920 on District Revenue

Since 2016, home values in our district have increased by 89.1%, but district property tax revenue has only risen by 14.3%. This is due to House Bill 920, which was passed in 1976, which protects homeowners from significant tax increases. Unfortunately, this growth is partially offset by a $4 million reduction in state funding this year.  Click HERE for more details in our Issue 39 FAQ’s.

Parent Voice in Hilliard Science Curriculum

The Hilliard City School District’s Curriculum Department is in the midst of a multi-year curriculum revision cycle for several content areas. An important part of this process is seeking input from our parents on what is important to them in each content area. The next content area that a district committee will revise is Science. If you are interested in providing feedback in regards to your child’s Science curriculum, please click this link and respond to a brief, two question survey. Thank you for your consideration.
