Tom Fears was the first Hispanic Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee in 1970.  From 1948 through 1956, Fears played wide receiver and tight end for the Los Angeles Rams. In his nine NFL seasons, Fears caught 400 passes for 5,397 yards and 38 touchdowns. Later in his life he became an assistant coach for the Rams and the Packers.  He was also an entrepreneur and military veteran.

Homecoming is this Saturday, October 5th from 7:30-10:00 pm at Davidson’s Stadium. Dress is semi-formal with no heels on the turf. Tickets are $20 for Davidson students and $25 for guests. Guests must be a Hilliard City Schools student or alumni 21 and younger (no middle school students). Tickets can be purchased online through Local Level. To be admitted to the dance, students need to bring their Student ID.

Esperanza Rising is a young adult historical fiction novel by Pam Muñoz Ryan.  Esperanza Rising joins the Scholastic Gold line, which features award-winning and beloved novels.  Esperanza Rising has received numerous awards including the Jane Addams award in 2001 and the Pura Belpré medal in 2002.

GYMNASTICS TEAM!  We need YOU!! Please consider coming out for the Varsity Gymnastics team if you have gymnastics experience! Pre-Season Lifting is on Tuesdays from 6:15-7:00  in the Bradley Weight room (this is for all 3 High Schools). Tryouts are Nov 1st & 2nd.
