Thurgood Marshall was the first African-American to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court. As a young adult, he applied to his hometown law school at the University of Maryland, but was denied entrance because of being Black. He later sued the school and won. And before he became a judge, he was a successful attorney who, most famously, won the landmark Brown vs. Board of Education case, which ended school segregation.
Come audition for the spring musical The Addams Family on February 11th at 4:15 pm in the PAC. In this musical Wednesday Addams has fallen in love with a normal boy and the whole family does not know how to deal with it. Audition packets and information are in the Choir room. Hilliard Davidson Theater freshman and sophomores will be performing their production of “Fools” by Neil Simon this weekend. The play is a comic tale of a young, enthusiastic school teacher who seeks to cure a small village from the curse of chronic stupidity. Performances are Friday and Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 2pm. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door, $7 for students $10 for adults.

Art Club will be selling Paper Flowers during lunches Monday- Wednesday next week. Handmade flowers are $1 each and for an extra dollar, they can be delivered to someone special during 3rd period on Thursday.
