Happy Birthday John Lewis! Lewis was a Freedom Rider, spoke at the 1963 March on Washington, was elected to Congress in 1986, and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2011. John Lewis continued to fight for people’s rights until his death in July of 2020. One of his famous quotes in regards to social activism is ‘Get in good trouble, necessary trouble’.
Attention anyone interested in participating in Track and Field this year, you must go to Final forms and complete final forms by Feb 24. The first day of mandatory practice is March 3rd. Please see Coach Aleshire or Coach Beatty with any questions.
If you are interested in playing boys tennis this spring, please make sure you are signed up on Final Forms. There is a mandatory Player/Parent meeting on Weds. Feb. 26th in the Media Center at 6pm.
