HDV Announcements: Friday, November 1

Native American History Month is also commonly referred to as “American Indian” and “Alaska Native Heritage Month.” In September 1915, the president of the Congress of the American Indian Association, Reverend Sherman Coolidge (an Arapahoe), worked with the goal of making American Indian Day observed across the nation, as well as fighting for U.S. citizenship for Native Americans.

Are you interested in joining gymnastics? Tryouts are today and tomorrow at 5pm at Fliptastic! This is for all 3 high schools.

You’re invited to help send the Davidson ladies XC team off to the State Championships this Saturday! They will leave at 11:45am (so show up before this time) from the Davidson front-doors parking lot (the parking lot that faces Weaver Middle School).    Feel free to make a sign, wear your blue and white, and give them a clap and a cheer as we slowly drive by on our way to STATE! Race time on Saturday is 2:45 pm

Ski and Board club sign ups have started. We will go to Mad River Mountain for 5 Thursdays starting Jan. 9th. See the QR codes on the TVs for more information.

Interact Club will be holding a bake sale during all lunch periods today! They are raising money for a coat drive with Rock City Church and The Dream Center!  Baked goods like cookies and holiday themed treats will be $1 – cash only.  Enjoy a treat and come support the coat drive with us!

Did you know that candy wrappers can’t go in our regular recycling? The Environmental Club is sponsoring a Halloween Candy Wrapper drive. Please put your empty candy wrappers in the box outside room 216 starting this week. Thanks!
