Ellen Ochoa is an American engineer, former astronaut, and former director of the Johnson Space Center. In 1993 Ochoa became the first Hispanic woman to go to space when she served on a nine-day mission aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery.

The Franklin County Board of Elections is looking for students 17 and older to work the polls on November 5th. They are willing to pay approximately $170 for the commitment to participate. As part of Homecoming Week, Student Council is hosting a movie night this Wednesday, October 2nd on Davidson’s Lawn between the school and bus loop. Based on your votes, we will be showing Grown Ups! Doors open at 7:00 and the movie starts at 7:30. Tickets are $5 and must be purchased online through local level- the link can be found on Student Council’s instagram page. Davidson students ONLY!
