September 16th is Mexican Independence Day, which celebrates Mexico’s declaration of independence from Spain in 1810. This day is filled with national pride, colorful parades, mariachi concerts, and food. People of Mexican heritage all over the world commemorate this important event in their country’s history.

The Franklin County Board of Elections is looking for students 17 and older to work the polls on November 5th. They are willing to pay approximately $170 for the commitment to participate. Congratulations to the Davidson Marching Band for an outstanding performance at the Hilliard Band Invitational this past Saturday. It was their first competition of the season, and they received a Superior rating (the highest possible) and qualified for State Finals. Congrats to our Wildcat band!!
