Happy Birthday Rosa Parks! Rosa Parks is credited for helping to spark the Civil Rights Movement when she refused to give up her seat on the bus to a white man in Montgomery Alabama in 1955. Another little known fact is that even though Rosa Parks is credited with being the first for this type of civil protest, a woman named Claudette Colvin was actually arrested 9 months prior for not giving up her seat to white passengers.
Come audition for the spring musical The Addams Family on February 11th at 4:15 pm in the PAC. In this musical Wednesday Addams has fallen in love with a normal boy and the whole family does not know how to deal with it. Audition packets and information are in the Choir room. Attention girls who plan to tryout for softball this spring. There will be a mandatory tryout meeting Tuesday, Feb. 4th TODAY immediately after school in room 202. If you are in a winter sport please try to make arrangements to attend this meeting. All prospective players should be enrolled in softball in Final Forms before attending this meeting.
