The Eighth Grade Football Team beat Memorial last night 38 nothing it absolutely had to be done Way to go boys !
The 7th Grade Football Team lost their first game of the year last night 16-18 to Memorial. It was a very hard fought game on both sides. The Panthers are back in action next Wednesday for the last game of the season.
The Heritage Gymnastics team finished up their season at the District Gymnastics Meet on Wednesday October 5th. Great performances were made by Addison Peters on bars and Shawnye Angel on beam. Great season girls!!!
Fall HMS Social: Tickets are on sale TODAY and Tomorrow for the HMS middle school Social Friday night! $5.00 and you must have a wrist band to enter. Wristbands can be purchased during lunch periods Thursday Oct. 6th and Friday Oct. 7th. Please DO NOT lose your wristband. The wristband will get you into the social as well as the varsity football game that evening. There will be a D.J. and a raffle. PTO will be selling pizza, drinks, and snacks as well

LatinX/Hispanic Heritage Month: In honor of LatinX Heritage Month, check out the books about LatinX characters and by LatinX authors on display in the Media Center. There is also a Collection in Destiny Discover that focuses on the Media Center books that celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. Today’s featured books are by Elizabeth Acevedo, a Dominican-American poet and author. In September 2022, the Poetry Foundation named her the year’s Young People’s Poet Laureate. Acevedo is the author of the young adult novels The Poet X, With the Fire on High, and Clap When You Land.
