News & Info

KONA ICE is coming THIS Friday, NOVEMBER 18, 2022 @ lunch/recess.  Cost is $ 4 – $7.

SKI and Board Club:  Many have asked about this year’s Ski and Board Club.  At this time, we are still waiting on Mad River to finalize details about their student pricing and packages.  When that information is released, we will schedule our annual meeting and provide a packet of information.

In the meantime, students can pay their bus fees now via “My Payments Plus”.  The Bus Fee is $100 for 5 trips, as we will travel by coach with Cardinal Transportation.  Please pay that as soon as possible.  Seating is limited and spots are given by a “first come – first serve” basis.  Email Mr. Bower (brent_bower@hboe.org) for details.

Native American Heritage Month:  As we continue to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of Native Americans to the United States, another book will be featured that can be found in the Heritage Media Center. Rez Dog by Joseph Bruchac describes Malian, an eighth grade Penacook girl, who visits her grandparents, who live on a reservation, during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this verse novel, Bruchac takes a look at life in lockdown through the eyes of Malian, who copes with boredom, isolation, and the need to find her place by befriending a dog, whom she names Malsum (Wolf). Check out other books about and by Native Americans in the Indigenous People Collection in Destiny Discover.
