National Hispanic/LatinX Heritage Month: Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. Did you know? September 15th is a historically significant day that marks the anniversary of independence of five Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
Check out the books about LatinX characters and by LatinX authors on display in the Media Center. There is also a Collection in Destiny Discover that focuses on the Media Center books that celebrate this month.

The 8th Grade Football Team beat crosstown rival Weaver last night 34-14. way to go boys!!!
The Girls Flex Volleyball Team split in their doubleheader against Marysville Bunsold Middle School last night. The girls showed true teamwork and grit throughout both matches. We will be back in action at home on Tuesday night against Eastland Prep Academy starting at 6 PM.
