Colds:
- Temperature over 100˚ F
- Encourage your child to drink plenty of liquids
- The child can return to school when he/she is fever free for 24 hours without medicine
Diarrhea:
- 3 or more times within 24 hours
- The child can return to school when he/she is symptom free for 24 hours
Vomiting:
- 2 or more times within 24 hours
- The child can return to school when he/she is symptom free for 24 hours
Strep Throat:
- A minor sore throat is usually not a problem
- Strep throat is normally a severe sore throat with a headache and stomach ache
- The child can return to school 24 hours after the antibiotic treatment has begun
Rashes:
- Rashes are most contagious in the early stages
- The child can return to school after they have seen a doctor and has been approved
Pink Eye:
- If bacterial, the child can return to school after the child receives the first dose of antibiotics
- If viral, the child can return to school after approved by the doctor
