For the past several years we have been using MAP data to help us make instructional decisions for our
students. A team of teachers and administrators spent last school year auditing and reviewing various
assessments to include in our assessment system. After going through this process, the team decided to
switch from MAP to the Scholastic Reading (SRI) and Math (SMI) Inventory assessments. Just like MAP,
these assessments will continue to give us the ability to measure student achievement and growth and
allow us to compare student, class and grade level performance with other students’ performance from
around the country.
These scores are where students should be by the END of sixth Grade!
