Physician Assistant students from Ohio University’s Dublin Campus hosted a seminar for Hilliard students enrolled in Health Professionals Academy. Hilliard students learned about the program, what Physician Assistants do, and how to apply. The students toured the campus and worked at several hands-on stations including surgical scrubbing and gowning, ultrasound, intubation, and working with high tech mannequins that actually speak and breathe. Instructor Cynthia Shaw shared that it was a great opportunity for Hilliard students to learn about this rewarding and lucrative career. A Physician Assistant can start at a salary of $100,000 as a new graduate from a Masters degree program.
