Health Information for Parents
Thank you for visiting the Memorial Middle School Health Information page. While we encourage students to be at school on a regular basis, please keep the following guidelines in mind when deciding if you should send your child to school.
A student who has any of the following symptoms should not attend school:
• a fever of 100 degrees or greater
• a persistent or severe cough
• an undiagnosed rash
• a persistent or severe headache
• an earache or draining ear
• a known communicable disease
• diarrhea or vomiting
• pink eye
• a severe sore throat
***If your child has a fever of 100 degrees or greater, or has diarrhea or vomiting, they must be symptom free without medication for 24 hours before returning to school.
When reporting student absences, please report any communicable disease that the student may have. Parents are encouraged to contact the school nurse at any time to discuss health concerns of their student.
